Okay food but good service

The food was edible. The waitress was nice. A bit of a wait for only 4 tables in the place, took forty minutes, for food to arrive. We had two omelets, American fries with veggies and sausage gravy, a B.L.T. and a cheddar bacon hot dog with chips. Food wasn't worth the cost. My Farmers omelet cost over $11.00 and was very bland. A tiny sauce cup of sausage gravy was $1.99 and still couldn't add flavor to the omelet. Food was moderate to high in price. I'd drive on down the road.

Was visiting in the area and came across the Somerset Café on US-12. A sign said they were having a Friday night fish fry so I decided to give it a try. I had a choice of the regular plate with two pieces of fish or the all you can eat. I was particularly hungry, so I decided to go with the all you can eat whitefish.Before they brought the entrée, I took in the salad bar. It was a bit underwhelming – small, with only a few choices. The soup looked like it had been sitting there too long.The plate of fish had three pieces and they were huge! They were piping hot, moist, not fishy and nicely breaded. It was as much as I could eat. Actually, the two piece, regular plate would have been sufficient. Wait staff were attentive and the prices very reasonable.I was very happy with the Somerset Café fish fry; the fish was very good and the portions were generous. I’d recommend giving it a try.

Food is very good. Staff cares about what they serve you. Good service from friendly wait staff.

If you are looking for a diner with hot food and homey atmosphere this is the place! Service was friendly, attentive, and personable. Food was reasonably priced and well portioned. Meal pictured was roughly $10. Parking lot was clear of snow.

Food was pricie, plus the French fries taste, like it was deep fry in 2 day old grease , my hamburger was burnt and the waitress was rude .

First time visitor, and even being there at a clearly odd time of morning, service was good and quick, coffee was plentiful, food was good. Looks like a neat little place. Will definitely need to be back again to try dinner sometime.

This is a hidden gem. We had steak and shrimp and a burger and everything was cooked to order. We will go back.

Out of things we ordered. Burnt bacon. Waitress crabby. Had to wait forever for food. Had to ask for refills. Said no cheese on burger asked for pickles. Got cheese but no pickles. Wont be back!!!

I love this place. The food is terrific, service is fast, and the prices are amazing. Nice being able to feed a family of four for under $25, and still leave with a full belly.

Food is hit or miss, rubens are good though. Generally been friendly staff, but their hours suck. I called to see when they closed and I got a short curt answer. I was hoping for better from a local place.

Just great food and variety

Clean, tables rather than uncomfortable booths, welcoming, friendly wait staff. Spinach omelet had fresh spinach, grilled onions, tomatoes. Excellent! American fries cooked thru, not mushy; crispy outside as requested. Coffee too thin/weak for my taste.

Picked up a Menu today. The prices are sky high, like some 4 star bistro in the valley. Chili cheese fries are $6. I ordered a pizza just to test it out, not good. Actually it was very bad pizza. Won't be back.

Very good and reasonably priced local food. I hit all over for homemade onion rings, and I found a super winner. Wil definitely be coming back again.

I had the shrimp. Jer had the chic fahita, it was Hugh he's looking forward to finishing it tonight. The service was great and the place was clean.

Some of the food is not good. Prices are a little bit high. Hot chocolate has too much chocolate in it. The fries were not that good and we're burnt. The grilled cheese didn't even taste right. Finally, the waitress wasn't happy at all and was being mean to another waitress about her sweatshirt. I don't know if I want to go back.

My daughter had grilled chicken kind of hard to mess up. It was awful took it home the dog ate it.

Overall was good. But had raw sausage in my gravy. Waitress very nice and polite tho.

Not what I had hoped for, service was just ok and food not good. Coleslaw was drenched in mayo and we couldn't eat it, corn was brown and we wouldn't eat that. Steak was griseled and fatty, shrimp was very good as was baked potato but fries were not very fresh. We won't go back.

This is a country cafe with great hamburger (melt) with home made fries. Nice friendly folks!

Their Friday Fish Fry is great. All you can eat Whitefish and salad bar. Good fish.

Food was horrible! Fries were burnt but soft which points to very old grease. My Rueben was hard and burnt and disgusting. The overall experience left me feeling like had I seen the kitchen I’d be mortified. Would not recommend this place nor go back. I hope I’m not sick later honestly, kind of hard to tell if sauerkraut is spoiled or not but it sure didn’t taste right.

The food is excellent. Prices are reasonable. The portions are well worth the price. Friendly and clean. You will want to stop in and have a meal.
